justinamoafo: Lately I’ve been spending my time pressing the rewind button in life, taking time out to remember the moments that planted seeds for my later accomplishments in life. Back in grades 7 and 8, I had just began to take interest in photographing and luckily someone really special had similar, if not the same interests as me. My friend Derek and I used to literally do whatever it took to feed our hungry, creative minds. We’ve gone from strolling along active railroads to waking up at 5 AM on Winter days just to capture a certain kind of light to sneaking off campus during free time to find out what else the neighborhood had to offer. I really miss that drive to just be creative with no specific goal or desire, because that is truly how you find yourself. Hopefully I’ll find another person that brings out that same creativity and motivation to shoot and capture moments like Derek did. I don’t really think it’s possible for more than one person like that to come along, but one can only hope. I’m sure all of you guys have something that you can relate to and reflect on like I do. If you can, take some time out to reminisce and get back on track if you’ve veered off a little bit. They say history repeats itself, so go and find that history that you wish never to stop repeating itself. -Justin
